Three Ways To Spot A Bluffer In A Poker Tournament By razz.mysportsbookonline.info
It is important to be alert in a poker tournament. You will find that sometimes a player will say something that actually gives away the strength of their hand. Sometimes players will say things that give away they are strong. And sometimes they will say things that give away they are weak. Here are three signals that your opponent is bluffing. If you know your opponent is bluffing pre-flop, it makes it easy to win the pot with a raise. 1. You are thinking about raising pre-flop on the small blind. The player on the big blind says, "If you raise, I may move all-in." What should you do? He is bluffing. He is trying to scare you. Raise and he will fold. If he had a hand worthy of moving all-in, would he tip you off? Of course not. 2. A player on the cut-off (which is one to the right of the button) asks the big blind how many chips he has left. The player proceeds to bet that amount. You are on the button. What should you do? This player is bluffing. He is trying to intimidate the big blind that is low in chips. Raise the bluffer and he will fold. If the player wanted action,
would he try to get the big blind to fold? Of course not. 3. A player raises pre-flop and you have a good but not great hand. What should you do? Ask the player a question about something totally unrelated. If he responds with a long answer he is not bluffing. If he is short with his reply, he is probably weak, as a bluffer doesn't want to give anything away with small talk. Act accordingly.
